    A true hidden gem of a camp. It was criminal when the summer program at this camp was shut down after a merger of 3 Councils. Back in the 1970's, Wildcat Hollow was arguably one of the best patrol-cooking camps in the country. Today, the camp is used for weekend troop camping, Cub Day Camps, Woodbadge training courses, etc. The camp features a big, beautiful clear lake for fishing/canoeing and has a pool for swimming during the summer months. The camp is located near Russellville, Kentucky and is owned/operated by the Shawnee Trails Council. If a troop wanted to conduct their own private summer camp, Wildcat Hollow would be a great place to do it since the facilities are wonderful and camp usage is light.

    I wasn't aware that the camp had all but closed. That is a real shame. I attended the camp from 1969-1972. It was just a great place to grow up. I remember when the lake was there but had no water. I was a member of troop 94 from Bowling Green and one of the first to ever use the camp. I still have the neckerchiefs for each year from there. They have a complete layout map of the camp ground on them.
