    Operates as resident camp mid-June/late-July (3wks Cub, 3 wks BS). Dining hall, waterfront, shooting sports, climbing tower, Scoutcraft, nature, handicraft. Available for troop camping off-season.

    is one of those places that God made special. We are over 50 years old now on getting still stronger. It offers dinning hall eating and one of the best merit badge programs.It is located in the heart of the sand counts of Wisconson 200 miles north of our council
    Des Plaines Valley council.

    Camp Shin-Go-Beek - is located in central Wisconsin 45 miles west of Oshkosh. This location is a popular spot since it is near popular downhill ski resorts and is an ideal location for cross-country skiing. Spring and fall programs can also be held by units to augment or relive a summer camp experience for their youth.

    This camp of Illinois's Des Plaines Valley Council is directly next to Camp Twin Lakes from the Bay-Lakes Council.

    Very good camp! You can earn around 6-8 merit badges per week. Plus, it's fun, the staff is lively, the camp is big, and the lake is really fun. And the camp food is not really that bad*. There's a shotgun range, archery, rifle, waterfront, observatory, obstacle course, many campsites, a store (The TRADING POST!) and Scoutcraft, which teaches knots, survival skills, etc. And, a showerhouse w/ plumbing! Lots of camp songs, spirited staff, nature area, and lots of other stuff. There's also a "Chapel in the Pines" and if you can find the old run down road, you might even find the "secret" Chapel of the Hills. Very highly reccomended.


    *however, the kitchen assisstant likes to run around with a fly swatter while wearing a box.

    great camp the best around for summer camp you have to see it for yourself if thay ever get rid of it , life as we know it will end...

    The Pathway to Adventure Council has announced that Camp Mach-Kin-O-Siew and Camp Shin-Go-Beek are to be closed immediately. (October 2015)

    Our goal is for the Shin-Go-Beek Foundation to obtain the property of Camp Shin-Go-Beek to preserve the camp from development and operate as a camp for the youth of America to continue to grow and mature as well rounded adults.

    To be clear, as of this posting the property is still owned by The Pathway to Adventure Council. This foundation is trying to purchase the camp.
