Hi-Sierra International Rendezvous 2008
(USA)
We invite your participation in a truly unique Scouting experience.
"Hi-Sierra International Rendezvous 2008" is an international Jamborette sponsored by Santa Clara County Council, and sanctioned by the Boy Scouts of America. This week-long encampment will be held August 10-16, 2008 and is open to all male and female Scouts and Guides, 14-20 years old. It will be held at the Council's Camp Hi- Sierra, high in the dramatic Sierra Nevada Mountains at 5000 feet

Michigan International Camporee 2008 (USA)
The Chief Okemos Council invites patrols of Scouts and Venturers from Michigan, from other states, and from other countries to participate in the July 27 to August 3, 2008, Michigan International Camporee (MIC) at Northwoods Scout Reservation, northeast of West Branch, Michigan. Once every four years, contingents of Scouts and Venturers, both all boys and mixed boys and girls, from over 20 countries, gather for 8 days of international friendship and fellowship at the MIC. Ireland National Jamboree 2008
Irish Scouting began in 1908, so Scouting Ireland will hold a National Jamboree one year from now, August 2 through 10, 2008, to celebrate their 100th anniversary. The jamboree cost is 350 euros (about US $485 at current exchange rates) per Scout and Venturer, with a lower cost, not yet announced, for leaders. This would be a great opportunity for an international experience for contingents from U.S. troops and crews. The jamboree web site is

50th Jamboree On The Air - 20 & 21 October 2007
The JOTA is an annual event in which about 500,000 Scouts and Guides all over the world make contacts with each other by means of amateur radio. It is a real Jamboree during which Scouting experiences are exchanged and ideas are shared, thus contributing to the world brotherhood of Scouting.
