Ranger Award Elective Requirements

First Aid

These requirements became effective on June 1, 2014.

First Aid
1. First aid kit.
  1. Build a personal first aid kit or help build a group first aid kit.
  2. Know how to use everything in the kit.
  3. Teach another person in your crew, another crew, a Cub Scout or Boy Scout unit, or other how to make and use a personal or group first aid kit.
  Do b, c, or d.
2. Complete a 25 hour emergency first aid course.
3. Complete a 45-hour emergency response course.
4. Complete an EMT Basic course offered through a local hospital, college, or first aid crew.
