Crime Prevention Patch

Crime Prevention Award
Requirements for
Learning for Life

PLEASE NOTE: BSA has reduced their emphasis on this program, but has not discontinued it completely. The patch is still being produced, but some Scout Shops™ may not routinely stock the patch.  To avoid disappointing Scouts, CHECK FIRST to see if any are available in your area before promoting this program and patch.

Phase I

Discuss crime prevention and how you could help reduce crime in your school, neighborhood, or community.

Phase II

Conduct a community, neighborhood, or school crime prevention project.

The crime prevention project has been extended to:

  • class
  • school
  • family
  • community
  • state

NOTE: Teachers and schools may earn all recognitions for
participating in and/or providing leadership to this program.
